Most of you have heard, moms are tough as nails. Taylor is no exception, if anything she is an even greater example.

Her pregnancy has been anything but boring. Appendix surgery and covid- this girl can handle it all. Not to mention keeping up with a 15 month old. That is no easy feat! Our session yesterday was COLD. Like, real feel temperature of 7 degrees cold. I am so impressed by her strength. (Dan you are pretty cool too, ha ha!) I think we can all agree she deserves to have the rest of her pregnancy go by without any more excitement. I can’t wait until March to meet this new little one.

Sledding, hot coco, and taco cupcakes. It’s a fiesta!

It’s always a compliment when I am asked to photograph special milestones but, it’s even more exciting when it comes from the one who is being celebrated! Teagan and I had so much fun at our last family session in the fall that she specially requested me to come photograph her sledding birthday party. I am so honored from her genuine excitement.

This girl hit the sledding hill hard all day with enthusiasm only turning 6 can provide. My legs hurt in sympathy of all the up and down the hill action. She only took a small break to drink some hot coco with friends and family and have a cupcake as we sang her happy birthday. Speaking of the cupcakes, aren’t they adorable? She has one super creative mama, I was so impressed by her culinary talent! We ended the day frozen to our bones, but it was totally worth it. Happy 6th Birthday Teagan!!

I had the pleasure of meeting the DeCook family at Stoney Creek Metro Park yesterday after a gorgeous fresh new snow fall. They are expecting their second baby girl in February and I couldn’t be more excited for them! I know I am biased with 3 of my own, but girls are the best!

Introducing Miss Aubree Jean! She was born just over 2 weeks ago on January 8th at 7.14 pounds & 20 inches long. The whole family, especially big sister Nora (and Bryn) couldn’t be more excited. When I stepped into Erin & Eric’s home the first thing I noticed was the matching pink bows. Sisters are the most precious gift and I cannot wait to see the bond that these two will share. Nora is a perfect helper already and little mama in training. She loves to grab her baby doll, pat her back and shush shush shush her, just like mom does when trying to soothe Aubree. It’s the cutest thing!

Congratulations Barr family! Get ready for all the sweet giggles and squeals, laughter, shared secrets (and someday, epic fights over clothes!) I am so happy for you all!

There is something undeniably hopeful about a pregnancy. With one positive pregnancy test you can’t help but start dreaming of the future. What will the baby look like, who will they will become. Maybe because this is my first post in over a year I’m feeling a little sentimental. It has been a long, trying season for us all. But like this beautiful maternity story, I am hopeful for our future. I am so happy to be back photographing clients like the Dixons & celebrating all of your milestones!

I’m beyond excited for Corry & Robyn and cannot wait to meet the newest addition to their family. Robyn was hoping for a snowy session and I’m so thankful we found the perfect location for their photos. It was cold but it’s always worth it.

Natasha and Dan just revealed the best surprise to all their social media friends. For the last 9 months they unplugged from the internet to completely to soak up all the family time before the arrival of their new addition.

Ridge Vincent was born on October 21st and we are all obsessed with the gorgeous little man. Most enamored of all is big sister Teagan & it is the sweetest new bond and such a joy to see!  Natasha and Dan choose a combination session of both fresh 48 and lifestyle newborn. I say fresh 48 but actually Ridge was under 2 hours old at the time of the session. They had the great idea that I be there to capture their families reaction to meeting their son for the first time, and most importantly, Teagan meeting her baby brother.  A week later I came over to document their family at home as they settled in with Mr Ridge. I don’t think I ever heard him make a peep. He truly has he best laid back attitude & gave me some major baby fever! I’m so happy for you guys & can’t wait to see him grow!

Today was so cold wasn’t it? I think that it’s time to reminisce about those beautiful & warm fall days that already seem so far behind us. 

Meg contacted me in August about a session to celebrate her little boy, Nolan who is turning one. His birthday is just 10 days before my daughter Hadley’s so my first reaction was, no way. How can that be happening already?! But I’m so happy she’s a much organized mom than me and thought ahead to schedule his photos. Of course we had to include the whole family because, well, it’s my favorite. We gave him the spotlight though with some portraits of just him and a cute little smash cake from Betsy’s Bakes His birthday is next week, happy Birthday Nolan!

The Smith family was a new client and I hope to see them again soon. Who else is ready to be a new-or returning client and get adventurous in some cold weather and (fingers crossed) snow? Message me for more information about winter family sessions!

This session was 2 years in the making. Weather & a difficult pregnancy for me delayed us last year. This year, we nailed it!

I’ve photographed the Miller family a couple times and I’m not kidding when I say each time is better than the last. It could be because they keep adding beautiful children to the mix or because Lisa is a photographer and has the perfect eye for wardrobe or because I thrive on their family dynamics. Whatever the reason, I’m always excited to see them again. 

When you have a large family or just a family with little ones, you can’t expect everyone to stay perfectly poised and smiley for every photo. That’s why we play, make up games, and get a little silly. It helps the little attention spans and keeps my candid photography cup full. I love the mix of photos we got. Look around guys! Fall is officially here, the trees are looking gorgeous & I couldn’t be more excited to share this sun-drenched maternity session with you.

I met Taylor & Dan for the first time as they stepped out of the car at my house. If first impressions matter, they knocked it out of the park. I’m not even going to lie, I did a happy dance when I saw them. She mentioned they were dressing more formal but it was even better than I imagined. Not only do they look pretty (you too Dan) but they are the sweetest, just genuinely nice people and we had a great time together. Within an hour after the session Taylor had messaged me thanking me for the great experience. I love making my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, especially when meeting for the first time, so that was the best compliment!

 I’m so excited for this journey they are taking me on because this is just part one. Their newborn session is next! I can’t wait to find out if baby Stocker is a boy or girl. All guesses are leaning towards girls and for that reason partly, I’ll say boy 😉
