Fall sessions are finally back! This is my absolute favorite season. Not just for the beautiful weather & changing of leaves but for the gorgeous light, snuggly poses and yes, fall fashion.

Becky contacted me as a new client & I wanted her session to be perfect. First impressions are critical right? It’s no different when meeting new clients for the first time. She told me something important to her for the session was the fall colors & I was slightly panicking that the leaves weren’t exactly cooperating. But, look at their images. Maybe there is not much change in the trees yet but I don’t think this fall session could be any more perfect. We honestly had the best time together & I love every single image. Madison and Grayson were the best and brought so much life into the photos with their constant giggling and hold nothing back grins. Also, no they aren’t twins (I asked!) Madison is 8 and Grayson is 6, they are both loving their new school year and favorite subject is math. I really loved getting to know this whole family <3

I love meeting new people and first sessions together are so exciting. Maybe you’ve been thinking about inquiring for a session with me but haven’t had time. I’m here to tell you make some! Look below at what Becky had to say within an hour after her session. You won’t regret it!

It was so greet to meet you tonight! That was the most relaxed, chill photoshoot we’ve ever had!

Port Huron Family Photographer | Peyerk

October 9, 2019

I’m not exaggerating when I say this session made me smile until my cheeks hurt. Even now while editing, I’m sitting here smiling to myself.

Erin and Troy wanted a unique setting for their family photos this year and used words like ‘laid back’ and ‘candid’ when describing what they were looking for. You can ask Erin, I sent her a list of all kinds of locations and ideas I’ve been hoarding to myself just waiting for the right client to come along. I’m so glad they trusted me with my suggestions. The result is that it felt like we spent an hour together on a Sunday afternoon just enjoying our town. It made for memories captured in a way that is personal for their family because it is something they like to do together. The photos are bright and colorful and full of authenticity because the emotions they are feeling are real. We had so much fun and I think it shows. Mila and Dane had a blast running, jumping, dancing and their joy is such a compliment because I know I must be doing something right in my pursuit to document these everyday moments.

Have I convinced you that a family adventure session might be right for you? Message me if your intrigued, I’d love to share my ideas with you!

Detroit Family Photographer | Boggs

Detroit Family Photographer

I met the Boggs family downtown Detroit on this gorgeous sunny Sunday. It didn’t start out so pretty & we almost rescheduled but the weather straitened out and it couldn’t have been better.

This is a session idea that Amanda has been talking about for years.  Yes years-we figured out this was my 7th session with them. One each year since Case, then Harper was born. He just turned 6 this weekend & Harper will be 4 in November. They are one of my longest client relationships and a favorite family to photograph. I love catching up each time we are together on the year that’s gone by. They are in the midst of building a new home too. I love comparing progress and talking details. I’m a little consumed (obsessed) with watching my house go up and its so nice to talk with someone who gets that-even if they are farther ahead and i’m totally jealous!!

I couldn’t wait to get these photos on my computer. We parked near Eastern Market and strolled Dequindre Cut. Then we checked out the market and even stopped for some delicious doughnuts. It’s so great to get out of my comfort zone & explore new locations. Thank you for that push Amanda! These are just a handful of my favorites & even this was hard to narrow down!

If you have a location you are interested in shooting in that you don’t see in my portfolio throw it out there! I am open to your suggestions & am ready to explore.

Port Huron Family Photographer |Butkovich

September 3, 2019

Port Huron Michigan Family Photographer

I’m so happy to share some of my favorite images from the Butkovich Family session. We shot in the backyard of Bridget’s childhood home and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The light, the natural setting, the super cute family-it was hard for me to put the camera down and call it a session!

Of course, little miss Quinn stole the show. She is an adorable, super happy almost 9 month old little girl. The rocking horse she rode in one of the images was built by Bridget’s mom and dad for her when she was a baby. I love the nostalgia of it all coming full circle.

Matt and Bridget told me they haven’t had photos done since before Quinn was born so it was an absolute honor to capture these first images as a family of 3.

If your looking for a family photographer, whatever the occasion, I’d love to talk more. Message me and let me tell you all about what to expect.

Smiths Creek Milestone Photographer | Lila

August 24, 2019

It’s always an honor when another photographer asks me for a session. Maaaaybe she was using me for my horses but i’ll take it 😉

Katie first contacted me last year to talk about her daughter Lila who is obsessed with horses.  She had a birthday session in mind and was looking for horses to use. Katie is also a very busy photographer & baby whisperer so we just couldn’t get it together with the scheduling. I’m so happy we scheduled early this year. Lila is going on 10 and a girl after my own heart. I was so excited for this session and knew we would have a great time together. I wasn’t wrong.

We started the session in the pasture with Reggie. Back in his younger days he was a Halter champion and is still a good looking boy. He doesn’t have the best manners all the time but Lila wasn’t intimidated and did a great job with him. My favorite photos though happened when we walked into the east pasture with our horses that are mostly retired. They are fat & happy & look a little wild. But the mix of the sunset and Lilas natural beauty it all came together perfectly. She was in her happy place just talking and petting the horses as I stood back and captured her interactions. I have so many favorites I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Do you have a milestone session in mind? Maybe a horse crazy kid that would love to get out in the pasture? I would love to hear your thoughts! Message me for more information.

Memphis Milestone Photographer | Oliver

August 24, 2019

I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images from Oliver’s 3 year session with the beautifully restored Oliver tractor!

Every year I look forward to seeing the Kirschling family. Not just because we shoot at their family’s farm, with a tractor, or even because they are a ridiculously kind, funny and good looking family. I love seeing Oliver and how much he’s grown and what he’s up to with each new year. This year is 3 and boy has he grown! He must be off the charts because I swear he will be tall as me by 5. He is got such a great sense of humor too! He was cracking everyone up around him. I could go on and on but I will let the photos speak for theirselves.

If you are interested in documenting a milestone session for yourself or a little on in your life just let me know! I would love to talk more 🙂

Jeddo Milestone Photographer | Sophia is 1

August 20, 2019

It doesn’t seem like time is moving so fast until I get a message that a clients baby is turning one years old. Didn’t we JUST shoot her newborn session?

Miss Sophia has changed so much over the year, getting prettier everyday. She is walking in the cutest little toddling steps and absolutely adores her big brother…and doughnuts. She really loved the doughnuts! Mom accidentally forgot the watermelon on the way to the session so we improvised. When at a beautiful orchard like McCallum’s it was a perfect substitution!

I hope you like this sneak peek into Sophia’s one year milestone session. If your looking for a photographer to document a special occasion in your life I would love to talk more. Check out more about McCallum’s Orchard here; https://www.mccallumsorchard.com/

Jeddo Extended Family Photographer| Maes

August 20, 2019

Beth & Justin have been favorite clients of mine for a long time. They are loyal & return year after year. Honestly, each new session we do is my favorite. This could be because after a few sessions with me you can let your guard down faster, get more comfortable in front of my camera and I truly think of them as friends rather than a business relationship. It’s also great because after all this time it’s very easy to spot any fake smiles and I’ve got to know all the personality quirks- like Alex’s many silly faces. This year Beth told me her husbands brothers were coming in town and they wanted to do an extended family session. I thought it was a great idea. Extended family sessions will always be a yes from me!

We choose McCallum’s Apple Orchard, https://www.mccallumsorchard.com/ as the perfect backdrop for their photos. There was room for all the kids to run and I love supporting other local business’s. If you haven’t been out since Ray and Laurie took over 3 years ago you should check it out. The extensive work they are doing to improve the grounds is impressive. Their sunflower field is starting to open as well. That makes for a fun family outing!

Extended family sessions are a great way to get the perfect mix of photos. We usually start with whole family shots, then break down into individual families, grandkids, cousins, brothers or sisters, you name it. They are the kind of photos you don’t realize you want until you have them in your hands. Sometimes it takes more convincing to get everyone together but I promise it will be worth it.

If your interested in an extended family session with me I would love to talk more and tell you about the many benefits of scheduling one. They are perfect for fall sessions and your holiday cards as well!

Port Huron Milestone Photographer | Hunt

August 5, 2019

Another year older and a new location for the Hunt brothers milestone session!

Andrew just turned 7 and is going into 2nd grade. He is an all star baseball player, sweet and loves his mama. Jared is turning 4 this month and will be in pre-school. He loves superheroes, his dog Coco and has eyes that shine with mischief in the best way. I’ve been so lucky to watch these boys as they grow. As a photographer and as a friend.

I hope you enjoy this small peak into their milestone session in our beautiful downtown Port Huron. If you are interested in planning a session of your own, I’d love to talk more.

Fort Gratiot Beach | Extended Family Session

July 25, 2019

I have had a lot of extended family sessions lately. I’ve always known what you post is what you shoot, so bring them on! I love them! It may seem like chaos in the moment while we are shooting. There are so many wonderful personalities mingling & people wandering everywhere but it’s my kind of crazy.

Last nights session was no different! There were 3 families coming together and over half of the 14 children between them were under 3. Seeing the cousins playing and laughing together reminds me of my big family and it’s the best. Whenever I shoot at the beach we always somehow end up in the water. I’m not complaining either, the water makes such a fantastic, playful backdrop, I’m usually at least knees deep in there too!

We always start with the individual family photos, then group photos and end with some in-the-moment candid shots (which happen to be my favorite) If this sounds like something your interested in I’d love to talk more!
